Guidelines for Submission of Photographs

These guidelines are requested as a method to ensure accurate descriptions for African Violets appearing on our AVSA web site.  We want to display the most representative example of each particular violet.

A description must accompany the photo submitted.  African Violets need not be listed in the African Violet Master Variety List (AVMVL), or First Class, but should be accompanied by a description with equivalent information.  Descriptions from a vendor's catalog or a hybridizer's list are acceptable.  Please cite the source of your description to make it simpler for our record keeping, and to help in answering some of the questions we receive.
