Submitting Photos for the Photo Gallery

If you have a good photograph of a cultivar not on the AVSA website, we would be grateful to have it for posting to the site. Digital photographs (either from a digital camera or scanned from a photographic print), in jpeg format, are preferred. Our preferred size is 640 pixels x 480 pixels, but photos as small as 320 pixels or larger than 640 pixels, are acceptable.

Ribbons, name tags and the like should be removed and the plant should be pictured on a solid background. For identification, the photograph name should be the name of the cultivar. For example: Morgan’s Popup. jpg.

If the plant pictured is not listed in First Class, or not registered with AVSA, please supply the type (standard, semiminiature etc.), the hybridizer’s name, and the description of the blossom and foliage. (Plants registered with Dixie, Lone Star and the African Violet Society of Canada, as well as new cultivars, are not necessarily registered with AVSA but are acceptable for posting to the web.)
